It is difficult to estimate the percentage of population that has gone through or has psychospiritual experiences. In many cases the experience doesn´t develop into a crisis; many people do not know who to turn to in case of a similar experience. According to a guess that is in agreement both in the Czech Republic and in the USA, the term of psychospiritual crisis is a suitable offer for approximately 15 per cent of patients who get into psychiatric ambulances or institutions and are diagnosed with “psychosis”.
